Wondering how to clean your acaia products? Here's a quick guide to help you on cleaning your precision scale.
Here are some rephrased instructions for maintaining your scale:
1. Ensure that your scale is unplugged and turned off before beginning the cleaning process.
2. Use a damp towel that has been moistened with water only. We suggest using a microfiber cloth or any fabric that does not leave behind lint. Avoid using paper kitchen towels, whether dry or wet.
3. For tougher residue like hardened syrup, use a damp towel as mentioned earlier along with a mixture of water and a cleaning solution designed for items with screens or displays.
4. Never spray cleaner directly onto the scale; instead, apply the cleaning solution to the towel.
5. Wipe the scale gently; avoid excessive wiping or applying too much pressure as this could cause damage.
6. Do not use aerosol sprays, bleach, cleaning products with 100% alcohol, or abrasive materials as these can harm the scale.
7. Avoid submerging the scale in water or placing it directly under a running faucet. While our Lunar scale is water-resistant, it is not waterproof.
8. If the scale has been exposed to a significant amount of water, let it dry in a cool, dry place for at least 24 hours. Do not attempt to dry it on top of a hot object like an espresso machine or dishwasher.
9. Over time, debris such as coffee fines may accumulate inside the scale, but this should not affect its performance. If you notice coffee buildup becoming problematic, contact our support team at support@theobjectdepot.com for assistance.
